Outreach Ministry
Leader: Karen Perkinson

OUTREACH MINISTRY: You don’t have to look at the outside world for long to realize the great need for the love of God in our neighborhoods, communities, state, country, and world.  Jesus calls out to reach out to those in need.  We are committed at St. Peter’s to being the people of God, to offer a helping hand to people in the Casa Grande community.  The folks of outreach provide the face of St. Peter’s to the community. Their programs include distributing gift baskets to the neighborhood, hosting a family fun day even on the church grounds complete with games, crafts, children’s events, and periodic visits to a local coin laundry to visit with people while committee members help with their laundry and spiritual needs. The ministry sponsors the costs for the laundry for these people they seek to serve and show the love of God.  They have also identified Saguaro and Toltec Elementary School and met with the staff to identify the children’s needs. They have helped fulfill urgent needs for shoes and clothing for selected children made known the Outreach Ministry by the school staff.  They have also awarded prizes and gifts for perfect attendance.   Fundraisers are held throughout the year to raise money to fund these service projects.
