St. Peter’s is a community of Christian folks who gather for worship, prayer and service as members of the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Arizona. We welcome everyone regardless of: age, race, background, financial status, gender, sexuality, or ability. We try to live our lives as the salt and light of our community.
We believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are descendants of, and partners with, the Church of England and the Scottish Episcopal Church; and are part of the third largest group of Christians in the world - the Anglican Communion.
We believe in following the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection saved the world.
We have a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being; women and men serve as bishops, priests, and deacons in our church. Laypeople and clergy cooperate as leaders at all levels of our church. Leadership is a gift from God and can be expressed by all people in our church, regardless of sexual id

The Rev. Shawn Rutledge is the Vicar of St. Peter's. St. Peter's is currently a 'mission' church, which means the priest-in-charge is the Bishop of the Diocese of Arizona. The Vicar acts as the on-site pastor/preacher/teacher for the bishop, and manages the day to day activities of the church.
We are also led by a Bishop's Committee of lay people who help to guide policy, and provide oversight.
We come together in worship regularly, we pray, and we study scripture.
We offer book study, catechism classes, and we serve our community.
Our motto is 'Serving God by serving our community'. We have many opportunities to serve here at St. Peter's.
The best way to become a part of our church is to show up on a Sunday morning for service, and stay for coffee hour and get to know us.
If you're not ready for that, join us online. You can watch previous services on our FB page or YouTube page (links below).
Come join us for Messy Church! Messy Church is a fun experience for the whole family that includes music, arts and crafts, and a meal. We offer Messy Church every 2nd Thursday of the month, at 5:30pm in our community hall.
All children and their family are invited. The service is geared to the littles, and is a lot of fun! It's a great introduction to church if you've never gone before.
When I saw St. Peter’s website and the focus on inclusion and service to the community, including Laundry Love, I knew this would be my first church to visit. Congregants welcomed me with kindness and open arms. I treasure my participation in the life of St. Peter’s, the rich tradition of Episcopal worship, and the focus on caring for one another and our community. I appreciate that all are truly made to feel welcome in this place of worship.
I came from a family with a Roman Catholic father and a Baptist mother, so I went to different churches growing up. I liked going to all different kinds of churches, but I kept going back to the Episcopal Church. When I am in church I feel like I am at home and a peace comes over me, just knowing I am in His home. I love the music that we sing in church, it uplifts me. I love that the sermons and music go together; that what we read in the bible are explained to me more clearly in the sermons.
I was looking for a church when I was invited to come to St. Peter’s. The vicar was so welcoming and a joy to listen to, he just drew me in. From that Sunday on, St. Peter’s was the new home for me. I will say I was a bit shocked by the friendly atmosphere and welcoming greetings; It felt like a big hug! The parishioners were smiling and happy which made the transition from Roman Catholic to Episcopalian, a joyous one. I love making new friends, sharing the love of God, and joining groups that help local schools and the unhomed.
